The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared the former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Maina, wanted over alleged receipt of stolen property.
The anti-graft agency in a wanted notice issued on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, described Maina, 61, an indigene of Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, as wanted.
The EFCC urged members of the public with information on his whereabouts to report to its offices in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kano, Ibadan, Kaduna, Ilorin, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Uyo, Gombe or the nearest police station.
Maina, a former chairman of the defunct PRTT, had previously been prosecuted by the Commission over pension fund fraud.
In November 2021, the EFCC secured his conviction on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering, operation of fictitious bank accounts and fraud involving about N2 billion.
The court sentenced him to 61 years imprisonment with the terms to run concurrently and ordered him to refund N1 billion to the Federal Government.
