Turkish Super League outfit Kayseri Kadın FK has made a bold statement ahead of the 2026/27 season, raiding the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) to secure three of its brightest talents—headlined by Port Harcourt-born teenage defender Blessed Isigbo.
Joining Isigbo on her move to Turkey are creative midfielder Cynthia Mega and highly-rated defender Oluwabunmi Oladeji.
All three players, alongside Turkish defender Fatma Nur Şenses, have arrived in Kayseri and commenced pre-season training.
Blessed Isigbo (18, Defender): Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, she spent three impressive seasons in the domestic league.
A Nigeria youth international with the Flamingos setup, the former Remo Stars Ladies center-back earns her first overseas move as Kayseri aims to develop her exceptional defensive talent.
Cynthia Oriyomi Mega (20, Midfielder): Also arriving from Remo Stars Ladies, Mega grabbed headlines during the 2025/26 campaign after scoring the winning goal to end FC Robo Queens’ unbeaten streak.
Her standout form earned her the NWFL Matchday 7 Top Performer award.
Oluwabunmi Semilore Oladeji (22, Defender): The most experienced of the trio, Oladeji joins from Bayelsa Queens.
A key figure in Nigeria’s 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and African Games squads, the versatile defender was named in the 2025/26 NWFL Team of the Season and helped Bayelsa Queens reach the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League final.
This triple transfer serves as a strong endorsement of the NWFL’s growing quality and a proof that Nigeria’s domestic league remains a prime scouting ground for European clubs looking for top-tier talent.
