MFM, Deeper, Boma Nume Choirs Win Laurels at Bonny Praise Festival as LG Chairman Reiterates Alignment with Divine Purpose

The choirs of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and Deeper Life Bible Church and Boma Nume Music Group of Macaulay Street, all in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State emerged winner, first and second runners-up in the Bonny LGA Festival of Praise.

Checks by Kristina Reports indicate that the Festival of Praise is the first of its kind in Bonny LGA, especially, one facilitated by the government and also serving as a non-denominational convergence of worship.

Host of the Praise Festival and Chairman of Bonny LGA, Abinye Pepple, who congratulated the winners, as well as the other choirs and music groups that performed during the event, acknowledged the warmth, conviviality, convergence of a worshipful disposition to God Almighty in the festival.

He reiterated the corporate posture of his administration towards deference, submission and dependence on God Almighty to succeed at providing good governance and leadership of positivity for the LGA to witness progress, development and peace.

Earlier, Chairman of the Planning Committee and business mogul, Dr Fubara Dan-Jumbo announced the winners, saying the decision was arrived at in a transparent manner, praising the various choirs and music groups for responding to the call of the LGA Chairman to converge in worship.

In play at the festival were the choirs of the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Assemblies of God Church, Church of God Mission, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Deeper Life Bible Church, Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, and Christ Army Church of Nigeria, amongst other churches in Bonny LGA.

In their separate speeches, different ministers of the gospel expressed appreciation to the Chairman of Bonny LGA for facilitating the festival of praise, noting that it has never happened in Bonny before.

Leading the distinguished team of clergy was the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bonny Chapter, Reverend Admiral Golden Dub-Green Williams, who is also the General Overseer of Common Wealth Citizens of Grace Church International, his Vice and Senior Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, Bonny, Dr Ndifreke Sebastian, and Curator/Archdeacon-in-Residence, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Bonny, Venerable Peter Blu-Attoni, among others.

In attendance at the festival also were the Vice Chairman of Bonny LGA, Ibinyefagha Alabere, Secretary to the Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo, ex-Administrator of Bonny LGA, Kingsley Banigo, political leaders, community heads, women groups, youth groups, and residents of different areas of Bonny, including visitors to the area.

Gospel artistes; Sensational Bamidele, African Joy, and Tina Grace, led the praise and worship sessions where good groove met great vibes as people sang and danced to the beat and movement of exhilarating music laced with worshipful ecstasy through the night.
