Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL), High Chief Peter Esievo says the project sponsor for the road expansion project being executed by his company, the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) is, so far, pleased with the progress of the work.
High Chief Esievo disclosed this on Thursday, May 7, 2026 during an interview with Kristina Reports shortly after the NLNG Train 7 Project Director, Ali Uwais, led his team on an inspection tour of the project.

The inspection tour began from the gate of the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal (BOGT) and terminated at the King Asimini Bypass junction by Holy Trinity Church in the Iwoama axis of Bonny Town.
“As a matter of fact, the project director, Nigeria LNG train 7, together with his entourage they came for site engagement not just to see the quality of the work that has been done but also how the workers that are working on the project how they are faring to hear from them if there are areas of improvement.”
“NLNG Train 7 project team led by its Project Director, Ali Uwais, was happy with the quality of work done,” High Chief Esievo said, adding that “he also advised us to keep up with the good work”.

Assuring indigenes, residents and visitors to Bonny that the project will be delivered topnotch, the Evomec CEO explained that the NLNG Train 7 project team also had interactions with staff of his company working on the project to feel their pulse and assure their adherence with HSE protocols.
“This exercise started an hour ago from Shell gate to the position where we are now. Workers were engaged and everybody was happy and they spoke about their commitment to continue to do a quality job as they have been doing.”

Recently, social media was abuzz with concerns being raised by some residents about the quality and progress of the project, a situation which led to the convening of a sensitization meeting by the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC) at the Ibani-Se Hall.
It was therefore an exciting development and huge relief to residents, especially those living around the project site to see a team from NLNG doing an on-site inspection of the project with many of them observing in clusters in front of their residences.
