Nigerian music superstar, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has sent shockwaves through the music industry with the surprise announcement of his second album.

Titled ‘He Is,’ the album is set for release on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

The announcement, made on July 8, 2024, came just hours after the release of his second single of the year, ‘Hehehe.’

In ‘Hehehe,’ Rema takes shots at his detractors and reasserts his status as a global force in the music industry, claiming a spot next to the Nigerian music Big 3.

The single follows his earlier 2024 release, ‘Benin Boy,’ featuring Shallipopi, and hints at a blend of gothic imagery and fast-paced Rock elements, all while maintaining the distinctive Afrobeats sound through its drum arrangements and language.

Rema’s upcoming album, ‘He Is,’ promises to showcase this artistic evolution, building on the success of his 2023 EP ‘Ravage.’
