Louis Edem Invitational: Rivers Hoopers Eye 2024 Redemption

Rivers Hoopers will look to start the month with a trophy when they take on ASPAC in the final of the Louis Edem Invitational Basketball Championship by 6pm today at the National Stadium, Lagos.

The Kingsmen are yet to record a loss in the tournament after defeating Spintex Knights of Ghana 71-66 in a tough semifinal encounter.

ROAD TO THE FINAL:

Group stage game 1: 72-54 win against Hoops and Read

Group stage game 2: 70 – 48 win against Ebun Comets

Group stage game 3: 70 – 62 win against Police Batons

Group stage game 4: 64-59 win against Energie of Benin Republic.

Semifinal: 71-66 win against Spintex Knights of Ghana.

Rivers Hoopers emerged winners of the 2023 edition but settled for third place at the last edition which held in April 2024.
