Aganya Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State has called on Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) to help construct the road that links it with Ayambo, Orosikiri and other communities as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the ongoing road expansion project.
Vice Chairman of the Community, Precious Dandison-Jumbo made this call on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at a meeting held inside its community hall in Aganya, Bonny LGA.

Evomec is the implementer of the road expansion project from the gate of the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal (BOGT) being sponsored by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) as CSR for the latter’s Train 7 project.
With the onset of excavation works on the road by Evomec between the Bonny Roundabout and King Asimini Bypass it became impossible to commute around that axis.
Dandison-Jumbo pointed out that the link road has for ages connected Aganya with its neighbours but had become obsolete over the years, appealing to the Chief Executive Officer of EGSL, High Chief Peter Esievo to consider the plight of the community and assist.

The road, which is less than five kilometers begins from where it joins Mission Road to Bishop Dimieari Lane and the Ayambo Mammy Market.

Adding her voice to the appeal, Woman Leader of the Community, observed that other adjoining communities along the stretch of the road expansion project have benefitted different infrastructural interventions, lamenting that Only Aganya was yet to be sorted.

She appealed to High Chief Esievo to consider the request of the Community and expedite action of making the project a reality, stressing that not only would the road benefit the residents but even provide an alternative route for commuters away from Hospital Road which is already congested.
Also speaking, Youth Leader of the community, Above Allison pleaded with Evomec to intervene on the matter and write its name in gold, noting that the road will be of great benefit to the youths of the area, as well as ease commuting for residents.

Among those at the said meeting were elders, men, women and youths, some of whom expressed their optimism that Evomec’s CEO, High Chief Esievo will be positively disposed to granting their request.
