Over 600 pupils to receive learning materials as indigenous energy company and NLNG strengthen investment in education, youth development and the future of Bonny Kingdom.
More than 600 pupils and a new cohort of student beneficiaries in Bonny Kingdom are set to receive educational support as AOS Orwell, in partnership with the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) under the MSC Project, advances its sixth consecutive Back-to-School Initiative and Scholarship Disbursement.
The annual programme, which combines the provision of essential learning materials with scholarship support, reflects the companies’ continuing investment in education, youth empowerment and sustainable community development across key host communities in Bonny Kingdom.
Under this year’s initiative, pupils in two designated public primary schools will receive a total of 3,600 exercise books, 600 durable school bags and 1,200 pens, providing practical support for their return to the classroom and helping to reduce some of the material barriers that families may face at the beginning of a new academic session.
Beyond the immediate value of the materials, the initiative carries a broader educational proposition: equipping children today creates a stronger foundation for the human capital Bonny Kingdom will depend on tomorrow.
Access to basic learning materials can help pupils participate more fully in classroom activities, organise their schoolwork and approach the academic year with greater preparedness.
For the scholarship beneficiaries, the intervention goes a step further by providing financial assistance that can support their continued education.

The Finima Community outreach is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the Government Primary School, Lighthouse, Finima. Distribution of learning materials will begin at 11:00am, while scholarship cheque collection for verified beneficiaries will take place at 1:00pm.
The initiative will move to Bonny Community on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Community Primary School, Abalamabie, Bonny. Learning materials will again be distributed from 11:00am, followed by scholarship cheque collection at 1:00pm.
All designated AOS Orwell scholarship recipients are required to attend the respective events in person to collect their scholarship cheques. Students, parents, guardians and other stakeholders have also been advised to arrive early and be seated before the commencement of each programme segment.
As AOS Orwell and NLNG continue the sixth year of the initiative, the message extends beyond exercise books, school bags, pens and scholarship cheques: Education remains one of the most enduring investments a community can make in its children and its future.
