All aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara have been successfully screened ahead of the party’s forthcoming State House of Assembly primaries.
The screening exercise, which took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Port Harcourt, was concluded without any reported hitches, according to party sources.

Aspirants drawn from various constituencies across the state participated in the process, signaling the party’s readiness for the next phase of its electoral activities.
Among those screened were Sokari Goodboy Sokari (Ahoada West), Victor Oko Jumbo (Bonny), and Orubienimigha Adolphus Timothy (Opobo/Nkoro).
Others include Tonye Briggs Oniyide and Samuel Reginald Sokari (Akuku-Toru Constituencies I & II), as well as Chime Egwuma Ezebalike and Emejim Wisdom Chiemele (Ahoada East Constituencies I & II).
Also screened were Vincent Reuben Obu (Abua/Odual), Amua Isioma Henry (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni I), and Nnwoziri Chukwuemeka Bishop Best (Ikwerre), alongside Fugbara Goodluck Ohaka (Emohua) and Kpeden Kenneth (Gokana).
From Port Harcourt constituencies, Bobby Frank Abayomi, Cline Tamunodiepriye Abdurrazaq, and Weche Ndubuisi Raymond were cleared, while Onyema Loveday Hechiaru (Omuma), Berebupakabo Isaac Sekibo (Ogu/Bolo), and Luke Mobene Eneriene (Andoni) also scaled through the screening.
Others include Bellor Kingsley Waite (Eleme), Oba Fred Ajubolaka (Okrika), Claudius Princewill (Asari-Toru I), Ideye Granville (Asari-Toru II), and Tyger Enemeniya Dumo (Degema).
Further names on the list are Chijioke Kemziunm Ihunwo and Prince Achor (Obio/Akpor I & II), Chigozie Emem and Nwankwoala Paul (Etche I & II), Morris Prince Lelesi and Prince Lezina Ngbor (Khana I & II), Jolly Benjamin Ngbor (Tai), Gift Okere (Oyigbo), and Chris Okey Ochije (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni II).
Party insiders described the exercise as smooth and transparent, noting that it reflects the APC’s commitment to due process as it prepares for its primaries.
