Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala once again proved her class on Friday night, producing a commanding display to drive Al Hilal into the semi-finals of the Saudi Women’s Cup after a ruthless 5–1 win over Al Ahli.

The Nigerian forward was central to everything good from Al Hilal, scoring once and setting up another goal as her side overturned an early setback to book a deserved place in the last four of the SAFF Women’s Cup.

Oshoala’s impact went beyond the scoresheet. Her movement, strength, and decision-making troubled Al Ahli all evening, allowing Al Hilal to control key moments in the game.
This latest performance follows her decisive role in Al Hilal’s run to the semi-finals of the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup last month, where she scored a hat-trick and helped the club reach the final against Al Nassr.
At 31, Asisat Oshoala continues to deliver at the highest level, combining experience with sharp finishing and creative play in the final third.
Al Hilal had to respond early after Naomie Kabakaba gave Al Ahli the lead inside ten minutes.
The visitors found their way back into the match eight minutes later when Al-Bandary Mobarak created space for Jessica Silva, who calmly finished to make it 1–1 before the break.

The second half belonged to Al Hilal. Sixteen minutes after the restart, Mobarak turned provider again, slipping the ball to Ghizlane Chebbak, who struck from outside the box to put Al Hilal ahead.
Eight minutes later, Oshoala turned creator. Holding off her marker, she drove into the area and squared for Fatimah Mansour to tap in at the far post for the third goal.

The Super Falcons striker then got her reward in the 71st minute, finishing clinically after another swift counter-attack to make it 4–1. She was later replaced after 76 minutes, having already done the damage.
Kheira Hamraoui rounded off the emphatic win late on, weaving past defenders before slotting home the fifth goal to seal a memorable night for Al Hilal.
The goal took Asisat Oshoala’s season tally to 13 goals across all competitions, alongside three assists, proving her importance to Al Hilal’s success in Saudi women’s football.
While Oshoala continues to remain a key figure, Al Hilal will now shift focus back to league action with an away trip to Al Qadsiah on Thursday.
