Benswitch Premium Hotel Signals Paradigm Shift in Bonny LGA’s Economic Trajectory

The opening of Benswitch Premium Hotel is a clear demonstration of private-sector commitment to the hospitality and economic growth of Bonny Local Government Area, the Chief Whip of the Bonny Legislative Council, Edwin Benstowe has said.

Benstowe said this on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in a statement he personally signed and made available to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

He stated that the new edifice reflects the determination of the Chief Executive Officer of Benswitch Premium Hotel, Loveday Benstowe, to positively transform the economic strength of the area, noting that the investment cuts across key development lines within the local government area.

He listed increased hospitality services, strengthened internally generated revenue for government and reduction in unemployment as direct outcomes of the project.

He described the hotel proprietor as “a man of the people with a passionate heart for collective growth and inclusive development”.

The lawmaker added that the investor is peaceful, reliable and firmly committed to the positive advocacy of the Amanyanabo of Ancient Bonny Kingdom and the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area.

He noted that the alignment with the development vision of the traditional institution and the local government necessitated the establishment of Benswitch Premium Hotel, describing it as “the first of its kind in Bonny Local Government Area”.

Benstowe also serves as the Youth Leader of the Benstowe Chieftaincy House of Ancient Bonny Kingdom.
