The former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) star netted her side’s third goal of the match, leaving the hosts stunned during their Round 7 encounter at the Atlant Stadium.

Blessing Okpe Sparks Dnepr Mogilev Comeback Victory

The 22-year-old winger has now scored in back-to-back matches for Dnepr Mogilev. This follows her remarkable four-goal haul in the club’s 11-0 thrashing of Dyussh-Polesgu in their previous outing.

This latest strike takes her incredible tally to seven goals in just six appearances this season.

Okpe joined Dnepr Mogilev from Dinamo Minsk, where she previously scored 12 goals in 24 appearances.

The dynamic Nigerian winger is already on course to shatter that record given her current blistering goalscoring form.

Despite falling behind early in the contest, Dnepr Mogilev produced a dominant second-half display to secure the convincing 4-1 victory.

The hosts enjoyed a perfect start when Anastasia Kuntsevich struck barely four minutes into the game to put Naftan ahead. However, Dnepr responded fiercely, with Daria Stezhko spearheading the comeback.

Stezhko leveled the score in the 23rd minute before completing her brace just before halftime to hand the visitors a 2-1 advantage.

Dnepr maintained absolute control after the break and extended their lead through Blessing Okpe, who found the back of the net in the 69th minute.

Ksenia Kuleshova put the result completely beyond doubt with an 84th-minute strike, capping off an impressive team performance.

The victory sustains Dnepr Mogilev’s strong run in the league, leaving Naftan Novopolotsk to rue a promising start that slipped away.

With this result, Okpe and her teammates comfortably maintain 5th place with 13 points.
