Nigerian winger Blessing Okpe continued her sensational goalscoring form in the Belarus Women’s Vysshaya Liga after netting a brilliant hat-trick to lead Dnepr Mogilev to a commanding 5-1 victory over ABFF WU-19 in their Matchday 9 clash on Saturday.

The in-form 22-year-old delivered another clinical display at Torpedo Stadium, scoring three of Dnepr’s five goals as the hosts secured a sixth consecutive league victory to keep their momentum alive in the race for the top four.

Blessing Okpe extends remarkable scoring streak

Okpe needed just four minutes to put Dnepr Mogilev ahead before teammate Valeria Yaretskaya doubled the advantage in the 15th minute.

The former Rivers Angels star resumed the second half in the same ruthless fashion, adding her second goal in the 48th minute to leave the visitors with a mountain to climb.

Although ABFF WU-19 pulled one back through Palina Yakimenko, Okpe completed her hat-trick to extinguish any hopes of a comeback before Yana Domin added a late fifth goal to wrap up an emphatic 5-1 win.

The treble is Okpe’s second hat-trick of the campaign after her four-goal masterclass in Dnepr Mogilev’s crushing 11-0 victory over Dyussh-Polesgu earlier this season.

Dnepr Mogilev maintain winning momentum

Okpe’s latest heroics mean she has now scored in four consecutive league matches and has remarkably produced nine goals during that period.

Her outstanding run has also taken her tally to 11 goals in just eight Belarus Women’s Vysshaya Liga appearances, strengthening her position among the league’s leading scorers.

Dnepr Mogilev entered the encounter on the back of five straight league victories, including dominant wins over Dyussh-Polesgu and Naftan Novopolotsk, and Saturday’s success extended that impressive run.

The victory earned Dnepr another three valuable points as they continued to apply pressure on the league’s top-four sides, while the Belarus Under-19 development team endured another difficult outing in the top flight.
