BNGS ’95 Alumni Holds Medical Outreach; Says Life Should be Healthy

Residents of Bonny Local Government Area have benefitted from a medical outreach organized by the 1995 alumni of Bonny National Grammar School (BNGS) Bonny, with many testifying of the relief they received after being attended to. 

The outreach, which held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Macaulay Street in Bonny, attracted the young and old, men, women and children with diverse health issues.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the BNGS Set of ’95, also known as Team ’95, Grant Pumma said the medical outreach, which is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the group, aligns with the belief of the group that life should be lived in goo health and not encumbered by illnesses or diseases. 

He explained that the group decided to give back to the community having been raised in different parts of Bonny, stressing that “we see this as an opportunity to identify with our community as we celebrate 30 years after leaving secondary school”.

Also speaking, Chairman of Macaulay Community, Warisenibo Joel Tolofari commended the BNGS ’95 Set for the benevolence demonstrated in organizing the medical outreach for members of his community, urging other associations and groups to emulate their kind deeds. 

Aside the doctors, nurses and other medical personnel volunteering, the outreach recorded an impressive turnout, with residents expressing heartfelt appreciation for the sustained efforts of the BNGS Team ’95 in promoting the health and well-being of resident of Bonny Island. 

The outreach featured a variety of free medical services, including general consultations, health education, malaria testing, blood pressure checks, sugar level screening, a deworming exercise, and the provision of medications for common ailments.
