A traditional ruler in Bonny Kingdom, Se-Alabo Clinton Ibiwari Gibson Dan-Jumbo, Jene IV has applauded the Marine component of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for its strident efforts in securing the waterways.
Se-Alabo Dan-Jumbo gave this applause when he visited the Officer-in-Charge of the Marine Police Bonny Division, JohnKelly Anyating, Superintendent of Police (SP), in his office in Bonny, Rivers State.

He stated that safe waterways are a conducive environment for fisherfolks and other seafarers to pursue their legitimate aspirations, and guarantees the safety and security of national economic assets.
He further commended Anyating and his men for their forthrightness in proactively providing security for travelers, communities and public and private infrastructure in heir area of operation.

Earlier, the Officer-in-Charge of the Marine Police, Bonny Division, SP JohnKelly Anyating had expressed the gratitude of his team for the visit, briefing him on efforts by the Marine Police to secure the waterways in synergy with other security agencies.

He appreciated the concern shown by Se-Alabo Dan-Jumbo over the wellbeing of police personnel serving in Bonny, noting that stakeholders remain critical to achieving success in policing the waterways.
Discussions between the traditional ruler and the marine police boss centred around mustering stakeholder support for the security agencies in the Bonny with a view to ensuring that lives and properties are well secured.
