In a post he shared on his verified Meta (formerly Facebook) account to commemorate the anniversary, Ibiama expressed gratitude to its listeners for their support and loyalty since its launch.

He noted that the station’s success is not measured only by audience numbers but by the strong connection it has built with its audience.

“365 days. Countless memories. One incredible community. Today marks the 1st Anniversary of Bonny FM 90.9.”

“Looking back on this year, we are overwhelmed by the love and loyalty you’ve shown us. Our success isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about every listener who tunes in daily.”

“Thank you for making us a part of your homes, cars, and lives. We’re just getting started.”

Bonny 90.9 FM, popularly known as “The Voice from the Atlantic”, broadcasts from Bonny Island in Rivers State and provides programmes covering news, music, entertainment, culture, and community discussions.

The station also promotes local heritage through programmes that highlight the history, language, and traditions of the Bonny people.

In addition to terrestrial broadcasting, Bonny FM streams its content online through its official website, allowing listeners from different locations to tune in to its programmes.

Since its launch, the station has continued to position itself as a community-driven platform that informs, entertains, and connects residents of Bonny Kingdom and the wider Niger Delta region.
