Bonny Lawyers’ Forum to Honour Distinguished Members at Inaugural Heritage Night Awards

The Bonny Lawyers’ Forum is set to make history with the inaugural presentation of its Heritage Night Awards, an initiative designed to recognise and celebrate members who have distinguished themselves through exceptional commitment and service to the Forum, the legal profession and Bonny Kingdom.

The awards will be presented during the much-anticipated Bonny Heritage Night 2026, organised by the Bonny Lawyers’ Forum as part of activities surrounding the NBA National Conference.

Chairman, Bonny Lawyers’ Forum, Victor Pepple

The inaugural award recipients are Se-Alabo Opuada Willie-Pepple; Amaopusenibo T. D. Jamaica; Dan I. A. Hailsham; His Worship Betty Sunny Hart; Elder Emmanuel John Iniobong; Irene Pepple Amasenibo; and Edward Ebenezer Pepple.

The historic event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and will celebrate the rich cultural heritage, identity, traditions and enduring legacy of the Ibani people, while providing guests with an opportunity to experience the warmth and renowned hospitality of Bonny Kingdom.

Speaking on preparations for the occasion, Chairman of the Bonny Lawyers’ Forum, Victor Pepple, expressed confidence that the event would provide guests with a memorable experience of Bonny’s cultural heritage.

Pepple said guests should expect more than a cultural celebration, describing the occasion as an opportunity to showcase the hospitality, dignity and cultural richness for which the people of Bonny are renowned.

The programme will commence at 4:30 p.m. with a Black Carpet Session, setting the stage for an evening of cultural celebration, recognition and awards.

The event is expected to be graced by His Majesty, King Edward Asimini Williams Dappa Pepple III, JP, CON, Perekule XI, Natural Ruler and Amanyanabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom, who is billed to attend as the Royal Father of the Day.

The inaugural awards mark a significant milestone for the Bonny Lawyers’ Forum, bringing together law, leadership, community service and cultural heritage in a single platform.

The Forum has therefore extended an invitation to members of the legal profession, friends of Bonny Kingdom and other invited guests to join in the celebration of Law, Leadership, Heritage and Service.
