Bonny Local Government Council has carried out a security awareness and sensitisation campaign across several schools in the area as part of efforts to promote safety and vigilance among students.
The campaign, which covered a wide range of primary and secondary schools, focused on educating students on personal safety, the importance of staying alert, and the need to report suspicious activities to appropriate authorities, including teachers, parents, and guardians.

Schools visited during the exercise include Bonny National Grammar School (Junior Secondary), Bonny Central School, Ibi-Tamuno Schools, Destiny Academy, El-joma Royalties International School, St. Michael Primary School (CAC Bonny), Karibima Schools, Bonny Local Government Industrial Training School, Kalviv Nursery School, Spring Foundation Group of Schools, Lucille International Schools, and Salem Education Centre International, among others.

Addressing the students, Sofiri Pepple pointed out that security is a collective responsibility, urging them to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and security-conscious at all times.

The sensitisation tour forms part of ongoing efforts by the Bonny Local Government Council to ensure a safe, peaceful, and secure learning environment for students across the area.
