There was palpable tension in Bonny, Rivers State where a businessman (name withheld) was abducted from his residence.
Eyewitnesses told Kristina Reports that the incident occurred between 7 and 8pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 in Aganya Community in Bonny Local Government Area of the State.
They disclosed that the kidnappers, who were three in number, wore masks and wielded AK-47 rifles, adding that they shot thrice into the air to scare bystanders.
Kristina Reports also learnt that the abductors had trailed their victim to his house where they asked his son to disembark from his vehicle.
They were said to have walked the little boy into the house before whisking his father away.
Another set of eyewitnesses said the hoodlums drove into Macaulay Street opposite the Bonny Government Lodge where they abandoned the car and escaped through the Admiralty Creek into the night.
Residents of Aganya Community, who spoke anonymously with Kristina Reports, called on the authorities to expedite action in rescuing their neighbour, as well as beefing up security in the LGA.
