A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has issued an interim order restraining social media influencer Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), actress Doris Ogala, and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel from making any reference to Chris Okafor, his ministry, or his church across all platforms.
The order was granted on Thursday, January 22,2026 by Justice Savage following an ex-parte application filed by Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation International, also known as Liberation City.

The injunction will remain in force pending the determination of the substantive suit instituted by the cleric, marked ID/14399GCMW/2026, in which the three individuals are listed as first to third defendants.
According to court documents, the application was brought pursuant to Order 43, Rules 1, 2 and 7 of the Lagos State High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019, alongside the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Okafor, represented by his counsel, Ife Ajayi, sought protection against the publication or circulation of any material linked to him.

In granting the request, Justice Savage restrained the defendants, their associates and agents from publishing or sharing any alleged private content involving the claimant, including chats, text messages, photographs, videos or related materials.
The court further prohibited them from using Okafor’s name, image, or the name of his church on social media or any other medium, and barred the dissemination of any content capable of being used for blackmail or extortion.
Justice Savage also approved substituted service of the originating processes, including the writ of summons and accompanying documents, through publication in a national newspaper.
The matter has been adjourned to February 2, 2026, for further hearing.
