Nigerian forward Daniel Job delivered another outstanding performance on Saturday, scoring once and providing an assist as Kongsvinger cruised to a dominant 5-1 victory over Sogndal in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen.
The 20-year-old produced a Man of the Match display, taking his impressive tally to 12 goal contributions in just 14 league appearances.
Daniel Job Continues Remarkable Goal Contribution Streak
Daniel Job played a key role in Kongsvinger’s ruthless attacking display from the opening whistle at Gjemselund Stadion.
After Andreas Dybevik handed the hosts an early lead in the third minute, Job turned provider five minutes later with a perfectly weighted assist for Ludvig Langrekken to double Kongsvinger’s advantage.
Mads Sande added a third goal in the 19th minute before Sogndal briefly responded through Even Hovland midway through the first half.
However, Job quickly restored Kongsvinger’s three-goal cushion in the 34th minute, calmly finishing from Rasmus Christiansen’s excellent delivery to cap another influential performance.
Langrekken completed the scoring early in the second half after Christiansen registered his third assist of the afternoon, sealing an emphatic 5-1 victory for the home side.
Daniel Job Emerges as Kongsvinger’s Creative and Attacking Leader
The latest display further shows Daniel Job’s consistency in front of goal.
His assist against Sogndal was his fourth in consecutive league matches, having also set up goals against Hødd, Strømsgodset and FK Haugesund.
The Nigerian youngster has now recorded six assists in his last eight league outings, while matching that tally with six goals for the campaign.
With 12 direct goal contributions from only 14 league appearances, Job has established himself as one of Kongsvinger’s standout performers and one of the most exciting young Nigerian forwards making an impact in European football.
Christiansen also enjoyed an exceptional afternoon with three assists, but it was Daniel Job’s goal, creativity and all-round influence that once again stole the spotlight as Kongsvinger strengthened their push in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen.
