Nigerian winger Daniel Wisdom has taken another major step in his European career after completing a season-long loan move to Belgian outfit Jong KAA Gent from Serbian club FK Spartak Subotica.
The agreement includes an option for KAA Gent to make the transfer permanent, giving the Belgian side the opportunity to retain the highly-rated teenager if he continues his impressive development.
Wisdom’s move comes on the back of a breakthrough campaign in Serbia, where he established himself as one of Spartak Subotica’s brightest young prospects.
The 19-year-old impressed for the club’s reserve team, scoring 10 goals in just 15 appearances to earn promotion to the senior squad before the end of the 2025/26 season.
His rapid rise was rewarded with three first-team appearances, performances that attracted interest from Belgium and paved the way for his latest move.
KAA Gent confirmed the signing on its official platforms, welcoming the Nigerian youngster as the club continues its strategy of recruiting and developing promising young talents.
Born in Port Harcourt, Wisdom began his football journey at D Shack Football Academy before moving to Serbia in search of greater opportunities.
His progress has been marked by consistent improvement, with his pace, close control and direct attacking style making him a difficult player for defenders to contain.
Although naturally deployed on the left wing, the teenager is capable of playing across the front line, offering versatility alongside his ability to create chances and score goals.
The switch to Belgium represents another important milestone in Wisdom’s career as he looks to adapt to a new football environment and push for promotion from Jong KAA Gent to the club’s senior team.
