Deeper Life December Retreat: Bonny Residents Invited to Experience God’s Redemption Power

Residents and visitors to Bonny in Rivers State have been invited to attend the Deeper Life National December Retreat with anticipation of encountering the Great Redemption Power of God Almighty.

This special invitation was conveyed in a statement personally signed by the Region Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC), Bonny Region, Pastor Okubuihe Onwuka on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in Bonny, Rivers State.

He extended the formal invitation to the people of Bonny, urging them to participate in the Retreat, scheduled to hold from the evening of Wednesday, December 24, to the morning of Sunday, December 28, 2025.

For Bonny residents, the retreat will hold at two venues: Deeper Life Bible Church, Bonny Region Headquarters, opposite General Hospital, behind Central School, Bonny; and Deeper Life Bible Church, Finima Central, along Cemetery Road, Finima.

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, alongside other anointed gospel ministers, will be ministering during the December Retreat, which will also take place concurrently at various locations nearest to participants nationwide.

Quoting from Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord”, the revered cleric explained that the programme, which is an annual retreat, is a period set aside for spiritual renewal, intensive prayers and sound biblical teaching.

Pastor Onwuka described Bonny as “a land of great heritage and potential that is presently confronted with challenges such as fear, moral decline, family struggles and repeated setbacks”.

He pointed out that many of these challenges have deep spiritual roots which require collective seeking of God’s intervention through prayers and the teaching of His Word.

The statement disclosed that the retreat is expected to help participants encounter the true and living God through Jesus Christ, adding that it is also designed to provide biblical teachings that bring light, freedom and direction to individuals and families.

The DLBC Region Overseer stated that participants will be guided towards breaking free from spiritual bondages and inherited limitations, asserting that it aims to renew faith, character and purpose of participants, while helping families build strong Christian foundations and raise godly generations.

Describing the retreat as a divine appointment, the Church encouraged residents to step away from daily pressures and draw closer to God in repentance, prayer and fellowship.

The invitation calls on every man, woman, youth and family in Bonny to take advantage of the opportunity, noting that attendance could mark the beginning of a new spiritual chapter for individuals and the community.

Information from the Church indicate that individuals and families from all walks of life and every strata of society including the traditional institution, political class, diplomatic community, community leaders, academia, security personnel, captains of industry, traders, transporters, artisans, creatives, women, youths and children are all invited to this auspicious encounter with God Almighty.
