Nigerian media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, are expecting their third child, seven years after welcoming their second daughter.
The couple shared the news on Sunday, June 28, 2026, through Cynthia’s official Instagram page, where she posted a series of maternity photographs featuring herself and her husband.
Announcing the pregnancy, Cynthia reflected on her journey back to motherhood after seven years.
“Yup! 7 years later and we’re here again.”
“That’s 10 years since my first rodeo,” she wrote.
She said every pregnancy comes with a different experience despite having gone through it before.
“First of all, it’s so interesting how you think experience makes things easier or more familiar, but they never lied when they said every pregnancy is different,” she said.
Expressing gratitude for the journey, Cynthia wrote, “I’m just beyond grateful to God for being my guide through this journey cos omo, what a journey it has been.”
She also revealed that the couple’s two daughters are eagerly looking forward to welcoming their new sibling.
“The girls are soooo excited, we’re all excited.”
“We can’t wait to meet our little sunshine,” she added.
Cynthia described the significance of the pregnancy by comparing it to the symbolism of the number three.
“I’ve always heard that the best things come in threes.”
“Life is about 1) the beginning, 2) the journey and 3) the end.”
“With shapes, 1 stands alone, 2 are parallel lines, but 3 points form an actual shape.”
” A triangle.”
” A unit.”
” Even the Bible talks about the Holy Trinity,” she wrote.
The announcement was accompanied by professionally taken maternity photographs showing Cynthia in a fitted black gown that highlighted her baby bump, while Ebuka stood beside her with his hands gently placed on her stomach.

Ebuka and Cynthia got engaged in April 2015 before tying the knot on February 6, 2016, in Abuja.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Jewel, in November 2016, and their second daughter, Rubi, in 2019.
Their unborn baby will be their third child and first addition to the family in seven years.
Before the announcement, Cynthia had publicly spoken about her desire to have a third child and expressed hope that the baby would be a boy, while also revealing that Ebuka had initially planned to have only one child.
As of July 2, 2026, Ebuka has not issued a separate public statement on the pregnancy, with the announcement coming solely through Cynthia’s social media post.
The announcement has since drawn congratulatory messages from fans, friends and colleagues, many celebrating the couple as they prepare to welcome another addition to their family.
