A delegation from Eckanchar, a spiritual organisation promoting what it describes as “the love of God for all humanity,” on Tuesday, November 9, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to members of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), ahead of its upcoming Eckankar African Soul Adventure Seminar scheduled for December 12th–14th, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the organisation’s priest expressed appreciation to the chairman and staff for their warm reception, stressing that the media plays a vital role in shaping public understanding of spiritual and social issues.

“Eckanchar is offering you immense spiritual benefits. You need to know about these tools that Eckanchar wants to present to you.

But we feel that since you are part of the media, it is good to come and visit you and enlighten you first before the public because of the roles you play both in government and public domain.

So, the tools we are offering are in line with what Eckanchar teaches. Eckanchar basically teaches about the love of God. And this love of God is available to every individual.”

The priest explained that the three-day seminar, which will be streamed live worldwide, aims to equip participants with “spiritual tools for mastering life’s challenges.” He added that a public lecture will hold on December 11th, for which invitation cards were presented.

According to him, participants are drawn from across Africa, Europe, and the United States, and the programme focuses on practical teachings that help individuals deepen their connection with God.

He also spoke about the group’s belief in dreams as channels through which God communicates with people.

He further introduced the organisation’s spiritual leader, referred to as the Wayshower, an American cleric who, according to him, assumed leadership on October 22, 2025. He described the Wayshower as one who guides followers “to the heavens of God while they are still alive,” adding that Eckanchar encourages individuals to confirm these spiritual experiences for themselves.

“Eckanchar teaches about this name of God. Eckanchar also teaches that there is a wayshower. These are agents of God. You know sometimes you say you have a guardian.”

The visit concluded with a formal invitation to NAWOJ to attend the public lecture and seminar. While participation for the general public is free, members of Eckanchar register with a donation.

The priest expressed hope that members of the public would attend and gain first-hand understanding of the organisation.
