Nigerian forward Ede Oloko delivered a standout performance in the Latvian Virslīga, scoring a brilliant hat-trick and earning Man of the Match honours as FK Tukums 2000 played out a thrilling 3–3 draw against Riga FC on Thursday evening.

The 25-year-old finally opened his goal account for the season in style, netting three times in his fifth appearance.
Ede Oloko hat-trick turns game on its head in Riga clash
Despite picking up an early yellow card, he responded with an influential display—scoring once in the first half and twice after the break.
Although his heroics ensured Tukums avoided defeat, the result felt bittersweet as both sides shared the points at the Mežaparks Sports Village.
Still, Oloko will take pride in rescuing his team from defeat with a late equaliser in a match filled with momentum swings.
At Riga’s home ground, the hosts initially looked in control, but they were repeatedly punished by a determined Tukums side who refused to back down.
Riga opened the scoring through Paulo Eduardo in the 31st minute, but Tukums responded just before halftime. Oloko brought his side level in the 42nd minute, silencing the home supporters and shifting momentum.
The hosts regained the lead early in the second half thanks to Renars Varslavans, but Oloko struck again from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute to make it 2–2. Riga thought they had sealed victory when Reginaldo Ramires restored their advantage in the 74th minute.
However, Oloko had the final word. In the 88th minute, he completed his hat-trick with a composed finish, rescuing a point for Tukums in a dramatic finale.

The draw denied Riga valuable points in their early title push, while Tukums left with renewed confidence after matching one of the league’s stronger sides.
For Oloko, the performance marked a major milestone—his first verified senior hat-trick and a clear statement of his attacking quality in Latvia’s top flight.
His European journey has been steadily evolving. He began in the Czech lower leagues, scoring six goals in seven games for Karlovy Vary, before breaking through at FK Jelgava with 13 goals in 27 appearances.
A move to FK Liepāja in 2025 proved more challenging, producing one goal and one assist in 19 matches before his winter loan switch to Tukums, where this latest performance may signal a turning point in his career.
