Turnaround expert and celebrated author, Dakuku Peterside has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful, congratulating them on the successful completion of the sacred period of fasting, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

He described Eid-el-Fitr as a special time that crowns weeks of sacrifice, discipline, and devotion to the Almighty, reminding believers of the strength found in faith.

Peterside, a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) noted that Ramadan is not only a religious obligation but also a season that teaches enduring values that benefit the entire society.

” The lessons of patience, generosity, humility, and self-restraint learned during the holy month should continue to guide daily living even after the celebrations have ended”.

He stressed that Eid-el-Fitr represents a powerful moment for unity, urging Nigerians to see the festival as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that hold communities together. He encouraged citizens across religious and ethnic lines to embrace peace, tolerance, and mutual respect for the sake of national progress.

He also spoke about the importance of forgiveness, saying the spirit of Eid encourages reconciliation and the healing of broken relationships, just as he called on families, friends, and neighbors to put aside past misunderstandings and allow the joy of the season to fill their hearts with love and goodwill.

Reflecting on the challenges facing the nation, Peterside stated that the same patience and perseverance observed during Ramadan are needed to overcome difficulties in the country, urging both leaders and citizens to remain faithful in building the nation.

“I urge both leaders and citizens to remain committed to justice, fairness, and the collective effort required to build a stronger and more united society, prayering that Almighty Allah would accept the fasting, supplications, and acts of charity carried out during the holy month, as the blessings of Eid will bring peace to homes, good health to families, and prosperity to the land, while rewarding every sincere act of kindness shown to others” he said.

In wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, he prayed that the light, love, and unity that define the season will spread across the nation and strengthen the bond among all Nigerians.
