Czech First League champions SK Slavia Prague have secured a major double signing, finalizing the transfer of Nigerian midfielder Emmanuel Ayaosi and his teammate Pavel Kačor from MFK Karviná.
Karviná officially announced the departures on social media, emphasising that the deals rank among the most significant financial and historic transfers in the club’s existence.
Emmanuel Ayaosi: From Youth Prospect to Cup Champion
Both players committed to their future with the Czech giants by signing long-term contracts that run until 2030.
According to Slavia’s sporting management, the capital club successfully beat out competition from several other top-tier Czech teams to land the highly-rated duo.
Ayaosi’s journey at Karviná is a prove of rapid player development. After arriving at the club in March 2023, the 21-year-old Nigerian winger initially cut his teeth in the youth and reserve setups.
However, by the latter half of the 2025/26 season, he had evolved into an indispensable first-team asset and one of the league’s most dangerous attacking threats.
The winger enjoyed a breakout 2025/26 campaign, racking up 32 appearances across all competitions while contributing six goals and seven assists.
His stellar performances guided Karviná to an eighth-place league finish and, most notably, propelled them to victory in the MOL Cup—the first major piece of silverware in Karviná’s history.
A New Chapter and a Nigerian Reunion
In a parting tribute, Karviná expressed their gratitude on social media:
“One of the biggest transfers in the club’s history is here! Midfielders Pavel Kačor and Emmanuel Ayaosi transfer to Slavia Prague. Champions, we wish you good luck… and thank you for the great work for our club – thanks to you we won the cup trophy.”
Ayaosi’s move to Slavia Prague marks a massive step forward, offering him the chance to compete for league titles and showcase his talents on Europe’s biggest stage in the UEFA Champions League.
The transition to life in Prague will likely be eased by a few familiar faces. Upon his arrival, Ayaosi is set to join an established contingent of fellow Nigerian players at Slavia, including Igoh Ogbu, David Moses, Mubarak Suleiman, and Samuel Isife.
