Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis has taken a quiet but important step toward reviving his career after linking up with Danish side Brøndby, where he is training with the first team as talks over a possible contract begin.

The Nigerian attacker was present when Brøndby players returned to training following the winter break, with the club using the sessions to assess his fitness and sharpness ahead of a potential move.
Emmanuel Dennis trains with Brøndby as comeback plans take shape
Dennis, 28, is currently without a club after parting ways with Nottingham Forest last year. His time in England ended on a difficult note, prompting him to search for a fresh start outside the Premier League.
A short-term loan spell at Blackburn Rovers followed, but opportunities were limited.
Dennis made only one start in six appearances, provided one assist, and was sent off in a 1–1 draw against Norwich City, as he struggled to regain momentum.
Before his return to England, the forward had spells with Istanbul Başakşehir and Watford during the 2023–24 season.
He was also linked with potential moves to West Ham United and Valencia, though neither transfer materialised.
Dennis reunites with Cooper as Brøndby weigh contract move
Brøndby’s interest is strengthened by the presence of head coach Steve Cooper, who previously worked with Dennis at Nottingham Forest and knows the player well.

Cooper brought Dennis to the City Ground in 2022 and remains familiar with his qualities.
Football director Benjamin Schmedes confirmed that both the club and the player are using the coming days to evaluate the situation, with training sessions and physical tests helping determine Dennis’ readiness.
If the assessment proves positive, Dennis is expected to travel with the squad to Spain to take part in the first phase of Brøndby’s winter training camp.
