The ongoing NDDC project linking Okrika and Boroku will feature a 3.1 kilometer road with three bridges across three rivers, the project engineer has said.
The engineer, El Masri of ProMax International Limited, said work has already started from the Okrika ATC Waterside.

“We have started the bridges from the critical side… Very soon they will see the traces, because we have started the bridges from the critical side.”
According to him, the project is supported by the King of Okochiri King Ateke Tom, which he said has helped ensure a peaceful environment on site.
“That’s why you see everywhere is cool, and everything is fine. So we have started from Okrika already,” he said.
On timeline, Al Masri said the project can be completed in 6 months depending on government funding and project pace.

“You know, this time around it is how the government move out and everything determined, you know, job sometimes low, sometimes goes up, but we have enough. 6 months.”
The road is expected to ease movement and open up Okrika and Borokiri for more economic activity once completed.
