The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, has appointed Hannah Hosea as the new Director of the Rector’s Office.
Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Anthony Ogbe, who announced this on Friday, August 28, 2026, said this was as part of efforts to strengthen the administration and advance the policy direction of the institution under the leadership of Dr Okolobah.
Dr Okolobah is the incumbent Rector of the Polytechnic.
The appointment, according to the institution, is expected to enhance the effective implementation of the administration’s goals and priorities while reinforcing its commitment to good governance, efficient administration and sustainable institutional development.
Mrs Hosea brings considerable administrative experience to her new role, which is expected to contribute to the consolidation of the positive strides being recorded by the polytechnic.
Her appointment is also expected to support the institution’s mandate of providing students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience, backed by sound administrative leadership and effective institutional coordination.
The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, has in recent times continued to pursue initiatives aimed at strengthening its academic and administrative structures in line with its mandate as a specialised institution serving Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
The institution expressed optimism that Mrs Hosea’s experience and capacity would add further impetus to the implementation of the Rector’s vision and the overall development of the polytechnic.
