It’s not even the weekend yet, and Super Eagles and Super Falcons stars are already showing off their goal-scoring and playmaking skills for their clubs in Europe.

While Gift Orban and Umar Sadiq found the back of the net for Verona and Valencia, Jennifer Echegini provided an assist for PSG, and Toni Payne scored for Everton.

Gift Orban Continues Serie A Scoring Form

Super Eagles striker Gift Orban maintained his impressive Serie A form, scoring and influencing another goal despite Hellas Verona’s 3–2 home defeat to Bologna.

Orban opened the scoring after 13 minutes with a powerful long-range strike, his second goal of the year and seventh contribution this season.

Bologna responded through Riccardo Orsolini, Jens Odgaard and Santiago Castro to lead 3–1 at half-time.

Orban later caused defensive chaos that led to Remo Freuler’s own goal, but Verona failed to equalise.

The defeat leaves Verona bottom of the table with 13 points. It marked their fourth loss in five matches overall.

Sadiq Nets First Goal Since Permanent Valencia Move

Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq scored his first goal since permanently joining Valencia, helping the team secure a 2–0 Copa del Rey Round of 16 win over Burgos CF.

Defender Rubén Iranzo had opened the scoring early, before Sadiq doubled the lead five minutes into the second half, finishing a setup from Largie Ramazani.

The 28-year-old was substituted in the 64th minute as Valencia managed the closing stages.

Sadiq, who impressed during a loan spell last season, recently signed a contract until 2028 as Valencia aim to climb out of the relegation zone.

Echegini Assists as PSG Extend Unbeaten Run

Super Falcons midfielder Jennifer Echegini starred as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Dijon Foot 4–0 in Round 12 of the French Première Ligue.

The 24-year-old capped a dominant display with an assist for the final goal, her third of the season, taking her total contributions to five alongside two goals.

Sakina Karchaoui opened the scoring in the 25th minute before late strikes from Tara Elimbi, Olga Carmona and Merveille Kanjinga sealed an emphatic win.

The result extends PSG’s unbeaten run to eight matches, keeps them second on 29 points, and maintains pressure on leaders Lyon ahead of a clash with Le Havre.

Payne Stars in Everton’s FA Cup Rout

Super Falcons star Toni Payne starred as Everton thrashed West Brom 5–0 in the Women’s FA Cup Round of 32.

The Nigerian midfielder registered a goal and an assist, setting up Yuka Momiki for the opener before scoring Everton’s fourth.

Payne also posted a perfect 100% passing accuracy among players who featured at least 45 minutes before being substituted on 62 minutes.

The victory featured a Momiki brace and further goals from Omella Vignola and Isabella Hobson.

Payne’s display took her season tally to six goal contributions across all competitions.
