Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie received a warm visit from colleague Browny Ifeanyi Igboegwu and his family on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, in a heart‑felt moment that trended across social media and entertainment platforms.
The visit, captured in a widely shared video clip, showed Browny Igboegwu’s young daughter, Kosi Pearl, comfortably seated on Edochie’s ornate, throne‑like chair while the veteran actor interacted with guests in his home.

Igboegwu, the Ozubulu‑born actor known for his roles in numerous Nollywood films since 2005, brought his daughter to meet Edochie as part of a family visit that also served as a joyful reunion with his child, whom he had not seen for years before the occasion.
During the friendly gathering, Pete Edochie handed Kosi Pearl a N500 note in a generous gesture that delighted onlookers online.
His son, Linc Edochie, was also present in the clip and was seen giving the young girl a white envelope.
Sharing highlights of the visit on her Instagram page, Kosi Pearl captioned the moment:
“You can now call me Chief Dr Kosi aka Oga’s wife.”
“It’s confirmed by my grandpa @peteedochie in the presence of my dad @brownyigboegwu and my uncle @lincedochie.”
The atmosphere of warmth and laughter in the video struck a chord with many online followers, with fans describing the encounter as “sweet”, “touching”, and reflective of deep respect for the veteran actor.
The visit also occurred against the backdrop of viral death rumours about Pete Edochie that circulated on social media on the same day, which reputable fact‑checking reports confirmed were false. Family sources and credible outlets stressed that the legendary actor, born on 7 March 1947, is alive and well, dismissing the death claims as misinformation.
Pete Edochie, 78, is revered as one of Nigeria’s most influential actors, honoured with accolades such as the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) and the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award Industry Merit Award. He remains active and widely respected in Nollywood.
