Swedish Damallsvenskan outfit BK Häcken have secured a major attacking boost by signing Nigerian international striker Joy Omewa.
The 23-year-old forward arrives from English side Nottingham Forest, putting pen to paper on a long-term contract that extends through the 2029 season to inject proven European experience into the squad.
Omewa’s football journey to Hisingen spans multiple countries, beginning her professional path with Nigeria’s Confluence Queens at age 17 before moving to Danish side B93.
She later blossomed at Fortuna Hjørring, spending four and a half productive years there and netting a staggering 55 league goals alongside 7 European strikes.
Her spectacular 24/25 campaign saw her score 22 goals in 24 matches, claiming the golden boot while leading her team to a domestic league and cup double.
BK Häcken team manager Martin Ericsson highly praised the new acquisition, describing her as a physically dominant, high-power striker who acts as a lethal finisher in the penalty box.
