American rap superstar Kendrick Lamar delivered another historic moment at the 2026 Grammy Awards, taking home five awards in one night which is the fourth time in his career he has achieved the feat.
Lamar previously recorded the same five-award sweep in 2016, 2018, and 2025, making him the first rapper in history to accomplish such a milestone multiple times.

With his latest victories, the rapper has now amassed a total of 27 Grammy Awards, extending his record as the most decorated rapper in Grammy history.
Beyond the Grammys, Lamar also holds the record for the highest number of BET Awards won by any rapper, further cementing his dominance in contemporary hip-hop.
Adding to his legacy, Lamar has also won Rap Album of the Year with four consecutive projects : “To Pimp a Butterfly”, “DAMN”., “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”, and most recently “GNX”, another achievement unmatched by any rapper.
