Luke Bryan has released his ninth studio album, Signs, featuring 12 tracks and a collaboration with Luke Combs.
The album arrived on Friday, September 18, 2026, through MCA Nashville after Bryan announced the project in May and spent the following months unveiling its singles and tracklist.
Bryan announced the album on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, revealing that he had spent about a year working on the project.
He said the recording process involved some of his own co-writing alongside songs written by Nashville songwriters.
“It is always a great day when I get the chance to release new music,” Bryan said when announcing the album.
He explained that he wanted the project to give listeners an opportunity to enjoy themselves.
“I went into this album wanting everyone to just have fun,” he said.
The album opens with “Finders Keepers,” a collaboration with Luke Combs, followed by “Country And She Knows It,” “Word On The Street,” “Signs,” “Fish Hunt Golf Drink,” “Made It A Memory,” “Woods,” “Down Goes The Whiskey,” “Crooked Rows Of Corn,” “I Liked Loving You,” “Killer” and “Praying By The Rules.”
“Country And She Knows It” serves as one of the album’s key singles and had reached the Top 10 at country radio ahead of the album’s release.
Another prominent track from the project is “Fish Hunt Golf Drink,” which Bryan co-wrote with Chase McGill and Matt Dragstrem.
The song became the subject of online speculation after some social media users alleged that artificial intelligence had been used in its creation.
Bryan rejected the allegation, saying, “Some trolls kinda saying that I AI’ed it, which is completely false.”
He explained that the song was created simply to celebrate the activities he enjoys, saying it was designed “to have fun and tell the world what I love to do.”
The songwriters also rejected the AI allegation, with McGill describing Bryan as “the least artificial person I’ve ever met” and explaining that the song originated from a playful exchange involving emojis representing activities such as fishing, hunting, golf and drinking.
The album’s final song was revealed ahead of release as “Praying By The Rules,” while the project had earlier been expanded to include the Combs collaboration “Finders Keepers.”
Bryan also released “I Liked Loving You” on September 9 as the final pre-release song from the album, describing it as a song he was particularly proud of vocally.
“When I heard this song, I knew it was special,” Bryan said, adding that he spent considerable time deciding how to approach the recording.
The release of Signs comes as Bryan continues his 2026 touring schedule, including Farm Tour performances and other concerts scheduled through the remainder of the year.
The album therefore combines previously released material with new recordings while maintaining the country singer’s stated focus on songs intended to entertain and connect with his audience.
