Nigerian entertainers ushered in 2026 with celebratory messages and personal reflections as they took to social media to mark the New Year.
The New Year celebrations were marked on Thursday, January 1, 2026, following New Year’s Eve festivities across different parts of Nigeria and beyond.

Celebrities shared their messages mainly on Instagram and other social media platforms, posting photos, videos and written captions that drew massive engagement from fans.
