No Fire Outbreak in Bonny – Army, Marine Police

Against the backdrop of what residents suspected to be a fire outbreak, the 146 Battalion Nigerian Army, and the Marine Police say there is no such incident in the area.

In response to an enquiry by Kristina Reports on Saturday, June 20, 2026, the 146 Battalion Nigerian Army stated that there is no fire incident within its area of operation.

Same response was given by the Marine Police in Bonny, with both agencies clarifying that it was flare from the Oloma flow station which became a bit too intense on Saturday morning.

“No fire incident around my area of responsibility.”

“The flow station from Oloma was burning a bit too high.

“We suspect that maybe what the residents were seeing as fire.”

“It is stable now at the moment.”

They further clarified that the situation has stabil8zed as at the time of this report, urging residents of Bonny and its environs to remain calm and go about their normal activities without any trepidation.

from residents of the Coal Beach area and Fuakpa fishing settlement close to the flow station was that of apprehension.

They however expressed their appreciation to the security agencies for their vigilance and consistent overwatch.
