The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership has officially wrapped up its regular season following the conclusion of Matchday 18.

The final standings confirmed the teams heading into the prestigious Super Six playoffs and the clubs dropping out of the top flight.

NWFL Super Six Teams Confirmed

The battle for the 2026 NWFL Premiership title now shifts to the Super Six playoffs, where the top three teams from each group will compete for the championship and a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

Group A Final Standings

Bayelsa Queens finished top of Group A with 37 points after recording 12 wins, one draw, and three defeats during the regular season campaign.

Despite suffering a surprise 1-0 defeat to Ekiti Queens in Ado-Ekiti, Bayelsa Queens held on to first position ahead of the playoffs.

Edo Queens and Rivers Angels also secured qualification after maintaining strong form throughout the season.

One of the standout fixtures of Matchday 18 came in Benin City, where Edo Queens defeated Rivers Angels 2-1 in a crucial encounter.

The victory allowed Edo Queens to finish above Rivers Angels in the final Group A standings.

Group B Final Standings

Robo Queens emerged as the surprise Group B leaders after securing a vital 2-1 victory against Nasarawa Amazons in Lagos.

Goals from Opeyemi Ajakaye and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi sealed all three points for Robo Queens, ensuring they ended the regular season at the summit of the table.

Despite the defeat, Nasarawa Amazons comfortably progressed to the Super Six playoffs.

Abia Angels claimed the final qualification slot from Group B despite suffering a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Ahudiyannem Queens.

Their earlier results proved enough to secure a place among the league’s top six teams.

NWFL Premiership Relegation Confirmed

While several teams celebrated qualification, five clubs were officially relegated from the NWFL Premiership after the final round of matches.

Relegated Teams From Group A

Naija Ratels

A 1-1 draw between Pacesetter Queens and Naija Ratels failed to help either side escape relegation.
