The chairman of Olumogobo, Asitonka John-dala, says the new development project linking Okrika and Borokiri will bring peace and faster movement to the community, with residents able to make the trip in just 30 minutes.
“We the Okrika people are very happy. Because it will bring peace to our community. It will bring development to our community”

He described the project as a major step for unity between Okrika and Borokiri.
“You can even stroll down to Okrika and stroll down to Borokiri.. 30 minutes, you will reach Okrika” he said.

John-dala also thanked Chief Boma Iyaye, King Michael Ateke and the entire Okrika chiefs for their efforts to ensure the project continues.
Addressing concerns about security, the chairman gave a firm assurance that the area would be protected.
“You know, Ukrika man don’t like lack of security. So as far as we are concerned, nobody will come and do nonsense here. Because this project… if you do nonsense, you will see me out. I swear. We don’t compromise.”
Community leaders say the project is expected to boost trade and relations between the two areas once completed.
