Barely days into the “One Youth – One Skill” initiative sponsored by the Khana Local Government, the programme has proved to be a decisive and worthwhile venture and one of its kind in the history of the council’s administration.

On Monday, April 6, 2026, a tour of the training camp revealed impressive progress. Some participants were sighted showcasing practical results of skills acquired so early from the training.
At the catering department, trainees demonstrated their newly acquired skills by preparing a variety of delicious pastries, including well-baked meat pies and neatly decorated cakes.

The display not only highlighted their creativity but also reflected the quality of training being delivered under the programme.
Participants and observers have expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing the programme as impactful and life-changing.
They commended the initiative, noting that it is equipping youths with valuable, income-generating skills that can foster self-reliance and reduce unemployment in the area.

The people of Khana have also extended heartfelt appreciation to the LG Chairman, Thomas Bariere, for sponsoring the initiative, describing it as a visionary step towards empowering the youth and promoting sustainable development in the local government area.
