OPI Pours Encomiums on VC’s Foundational Strides

It was a moment of significant recognition for iconic achievements for the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET), Ogoni, Prince Mmom, when the Ogoni Progressives Initiative (OPI) paid him a courtesy visit on Friday, March 27, 2026.

The National Facilitator of the Initiative, Mon Ledibabari, who spoke on behalf of the organization, commended the vice Chancellor for his sacrifice and foresight in ensuring the smooth take-off and progressive growth of the institution.

The Facilitator registered the organization’s delight in the Vice Chancellor’s foundational building ability and called for productive collaboration in order to keep the institution on the path of continuous growth.

The outstanding leadership of the Vice Chancellor attracted an award of excellence and an honorary membership decoration, in demonstration of support and goodwill of the Ogoni Progressives Initiative (OPI).

In Response, The Vice Chancellor expressed his deepest gratitude to OPI for the visit, which he said will spur him to do even more. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring the growth of the institution from what it is today to an enviable citadel of learning in the comity  of federal universities.

He urged for support from all well meaning individuals and groups concerned about the growth of the institution, citing collaboration as key in pushing the development of the Federal University of Environment and Technology.

Finally, the Vice Chancellor accepted an invitation offered him by the group to be the keynote speaker at the forthcoming Ogoni Development Summit.

Other members of the delegation of OPI present on the visit include the chairman of the BOT, Tudor Fulbel, Tai Coordinator, Don Mesua, Khana Coordinator, Alex Neeka, and the National Publicity Secretary, Maxwell Dukori.
