Nearly all nominees for the 98th Academy Awards gathered on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, for the annual Oscars Nominees Luncheon and class photo.
The event was organised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as part of activities leading to the 98th Oscars ceremony.
The luncheon brought together about 230 nominees across 24 award categories.
Actors, directors, writers, producers, composers and technical craftsmen filled the ballroom for the pre-Oscars celebration.
The annual gathering provides an opportunity for nominees to meet, network and celebrate their achievements before the awards night.
One of the major highlights was the traditional “class photo,” where nominees assembled for a historic group portrait.
Each nominee present was also called to the stage during a roll call and presented with a certificate.
Actor Lou Diamond Phillips conducted the roll call.
Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor addressed the nominees during the luncheon.
She encouraged them to keep their acceptance speeches heartfelt and concise ahead of the awards ceremony.
The 98th Academy Awards will hold on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.
The luncheon marked one of the final major official gatherings before the Oscars night.
