Unstoppable Victor Osimhen Outshines Awaziem as Galatasaray Demolish Konyaspor 4-0

Nigerian goal machine Victor Osimhen delivered another masterclass on Friday evening, powering Galatasaray to a resounding 4-0 victory over Konyaspor in their Turkish Süper Lig Round 10 encounter at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu.

In a highly anticipated Nigerian derby, Osimhen outmaneuvered his national teammate Chidozie Awaziem, grabbing the spotlight and continuing an extraordinary run of form on the pitch and off it.

It took just 12 minutes for the 27-year-old superstar to break the deadlock.

Connecting with a well-placed free kick inside the 18-yard box, Osimhen outjumped the opposition defense to direct a bullet header into the bottom-left corner, setting the tempo for a Galatasaray clinical performance.

The goal marks Osimhen’s third consecutive match with a strike, bringing his staggering tally to 9 goals and 3 assists in just over eight league appearances this season, alongside a Champions League tally that pushes his overall contribution to 13 goals.

His goal is coming on the heels of a match-winning brace against fierce rivals Fenerbahçe and the recent birth of his daughter, Liora Audrey.

Galatasaray doubled their advantage in the 28th minute through a sensational long-range strike from Yunus Akgün, whose effort crashed into the top-right corner, leaving Konyaspor goalkeeper Bahadır Güngördü helpless.

Taking a comfortable 2-0 cushion into halftime, the visitors showed no signs of slowing down after the break:

49th Minute: Alexey Batrakov embarked on a brilliant solo run before drilling a low shot from outside the box into the bottom-left corner for 3-0.

55th Minute: Rafael Leão put the match completely out of reach, dispatching a ice-cold penalty into the top-left corner to complete the 4-0 thrashing.

Having done the heavy lifting early, Osimhen was substituted in the 60th minute for Deniz Gül to a resounding applause from the traveling support.

Despite entering the fixture on high confidence following a two-goal performance against Gençlerbirliği, Konyaspor defender Chidozie Awaziem was unable to halt Osimhen and Galatasaray’s relentless attack.

While Awaziem has shown strong resurgence in recent weeks, Osimhen’s sheer dominance proved too much for the hosts on the night.
