The Diriwari Tobin Family of the Tobin (Konibo-ye-Awanta) Chieftaincy House of Finima Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State bade a fitting farewell and laid to rest one of her daughters, Franka Adoki, popular known as ‘Iyeowuna’.
The solemn event, which took place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Okochiri Community in Okrika LGA, hosted dignitaries from Bonny, Okrika, as well as friends, family members, and well-wishers, amongst others.

Speaking with Kristina Reports, Secretary of the Tobin (Konibo-ye-Awanta) Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom, Smart Tobin, who is the immediate elder brother of the deceased, described her passing as “a painful one”, adding that the deceased is “one who is not easily replaceable”.
“Iyeowuna is my immediate younger sister together with her twin brother. It’s really unfortunate for us because we just buried our last-born days before Iyeowuna died.”

“She was a person anyone can reckon with. She was a person of integrity, love and care. We will greatly miss her but we give God the Glory.”
Also speaking with Kristina Reports, twin brother of the deceased, Chief Franklin Tobin described his twin sister as his “first ‘go-to’ person”.
“She was my best friends, my gist partner, my confidant. She’s one person you can run to at any time. She’s always ready to answer you.”
Chief Franklin added that things will have to take a new turn as he will have to celebrate birthdays alone going forward.
“She was my twin and we both celebrate our birthdays together. From now, it will just be me who will celebrate the birthday and it cannot be the same again.”
Speaking at the event, the cleric while giving the charge, encouraged that the life is a transient one and as such, one needs to run the race with patience and perseverance and ensure everything is done in alignment with the will of God.
The late Franka Iyeowuna Adoki was aged 55 years, and is survived by her husband, Sampson Adoki, her daughter, Brenda Adoki, foster daughter, Mirabel Hart, and foster grandson, Tamunotosa Brown, among other family members.
