It was a weekend of mixed emotions for Nigerian football stars across Europe, headlined by a maiden strike in Germany and a dominant masterclass in Scotland.

Philip Otele Shines Despite Narrow Defeat
Newly invited Super Eagles forward Philip Otele scored his first Bundesliga goal for Hamburger SV on Saturday, though it was not enough to prevent a 3-2 away defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
The 26-year-old winger was recently named in Nigeria’s 23-man squad for upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan in Turkey. He wasted no time proving why he earned that national team call-up.
Stepping onto the pitch at the Signal Iduna Park, Philip Otele broke the deadlock in the 19th minute.
It was his first goal in seven appearances since arriving on loan from Basel. Albert Sambi Lokonga soon doubled the lead, putting the visitors in a commanding position. However, the hosts mounted a fierce late comeback.

A penalty from Ramy Bensebaini and a strike from Serhou Guirassy drew Dortmund level.
Bensebaini then sealed the 3-2 win with a late spot-kick following a handball. Philip Otele played 68 minutes before being substituted, leaving the pitch after a very bright performance.
Tochi Chukwuani Powers Dominant Rangers Win
While things ended in a loss for Hamburg, it was pure joy in Scotland for Tochi Chukwuani.
The talented 22-year-old midfielder scored his first Scottish Premiership goal as Rangers effortlessly brushed Aberdeen aside with a 4-1 victory at Ibrox.
Just 35 minutes into the tie, Tochi Chukwuani pounced on a loose ball at the edge of the penalty box after a blocked shot to open the scoring.
The goal was his second overall since joining the Glasgow giants in the winter transfer window.
He dictated the tempo in the middle of the park for 81 minutes before making way for a substitute.

Rangers kept their foot on the gas after the break. Mikey Moore, Nicolas Raskin, and James Tavernier all got on the scoresheet to secure the three points.
Dennis Geiger grabbed a consolation goal for the visitors, but it did nothing to ruin the party at Ibrox.
Since his arrival, Tochi Chukwuani has drawn heavy praise for his calm approach and tactical awareness.
While he has played for Denmark at the youth level, the youngster is still completely eligible to play for Nigeria.
