Pollyn House Youth Association Gets New Leadership, After 10 Years Interregnum

After a 10 years hiatus, a new leadership has emerged in the Pollyn House Youth Association (PYA) which is expected to pilot the affairs of the Association for the next two years.

The new executive was inaugurated on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Late Chief Sylvanus J. Pollyn Compound in Bonny, Rivers State, in the presence of the Chief and Head of the Pollyn Chieftaincy House, Wari-Alabo Bill Pollyn, and his Council of Elders, Women and other stakeholders.

The apex youth body in Bonny Kingdom, the Bonny Youth Federation (BYF) was represented by the Chairman of the Bonny Kingdom Youth Leaders Forum, Karibi Dappa.

Advising the newly elected PYA Executive at the event, Wari-Alabo Bill Pollyn stressed the need for them to work assiduously for the progress and development of the youth body and the Pollyn House, in general.

The new executive comprises; the Mayor; Ibinyeibim Pollyn, Deputy Youth Leader; David Pollyn, General Secretary; Tonye Pollyn, Assistant Secretary; Christabel Henry, Director of Publicity’; Marvin Pollyn, and Director of Finance and Investment; Gift Pollyn.

Others are Treasurer; Florence Pollyn, Director of Security and Publicity Order; Sopu Pollyn, Director of Pollution and Environment; Austin Pollyn, Director of Culture and Socials; Jerry Pollyn, Director of Welfare; Precious Pollyn, and Organizing Secretary; Emmanuel Pollyn.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman of the Bonny Youth Leaders Forum, Karibi Dappa applauded the Youths for the milestone achieved with the inauguration of the Youth body, calling for peace and unity amongst the Youths of the House.

He availed the leadership advice on how to pilot the affairs of the Youth body, advocating for peace and unity amongst the youths of Pollyn House.

He further advised on the roles and duties of both the youths and their leadership, expressing profound gratitude to the Chief, elders and stakeholders of the House for making sure the youth body now has a leadership after so many years.

In his remarks, a former Youth Leader Emeritus of the Pollyn Youth Association, Daniel Pollyn expressed gratitude and applauded the Chief and elders for the confidence reposed in him by tasking him with the responsibility of superintending over the process of producing a leadership for the youth body.
