The Bonny Chiefs’ Council convened an emergency meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026. After extensive deliberations on matters concerning the Dappa-Ye-Amakiri (Ama-Hart) family of Kalaibiama, Bonny, the Council hereby issues the following statement:
- There is no Chieftaincy House recognized or addressed as Dappa-Ye-Amakiri House in Bonny Kingdom.
- No Family Unit or Burusu in Bonny Kingdom possesses the authority or right to establish or elevate itself to the status of a Chieftaincy House. Creation of a Chieftaincy House is the exclusive right of His Majesty, the King.
- A Family Unit or Burusu cannot install a Warisenibo. Only a duly constituted Chieftaincy House with a Chief in place has the authority to do so.
- Acting on behalf of His Majesty, the King, the Bonny Chiefs’ Council vehemently condemns the purported installation of a Waridabo by the Dappa-Ye-Amakiri (Ama-Hart) family of Kalaibiama on December 27, 2025.
- The title Waridabo is entirely unknown to Bonny tradition and culture, and therefore must not be adopted or used by any individual or group.
- All activities leading to the purported installation of a Waridabo, including the installation itself, are hereby declared null, void, and of no effect whatsoever.

The Bonny Chiefs’ Council advises the people of Bonny Kingdom to always embrace dialogue and constructive engagement in resolving disputes, rather than resorting to violence or self-help.
