The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the release of the names of 50,000 successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables.

According to the Commission’s spokesperson, Torty Kalu, the announcement follows the successful completion of a comprehensive recruitment exercise carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.

Kalu advised all candidates who sat for the recently concluded written examination to visit the official recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to confirm their recruitment status.

“The portal will be opened by 12:00am, Thursday, 16th July, 2026. Successful candidates will also receive email and SMS notifications on the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during the initial application.

The successful candidates are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times to be communicated in due course for medical examination and documentation.

According to Kalu, candidates who fail to report within the stipulated time will be considered to have declined the offer. He added that those who fail the medical examination that would be conducted by the Police Medical Team on resumption of training will be declared unfit and shall be required to leave the training.

Candidates are to report with their training call-up slip, NIN slip, BVN slip, original and photocopies of their certificates and other required documents and items as would be listed in the recruitment portal.

In a related development, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Hashimu Argungu, expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security system.

DIG Argungu charged the successful candidates to see this opportunity as a clarion call to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and unwavering commitment to a safe and secured Nigeria.
