A REBUTTAL BY EDWARD OMONI BURUSU OF THE JUMBO MAJOR HOUSE OF GRAND BONNY KINGDOM, AGAINST THE RECKLESS AND MALICIOUS PRESS BRIEFING MADE ON MONDAY, 13TH APRIL, 2026, BY ONE MR. EPHRAIM JUMBO AND HIS COHORTS AGAINST WARI-ALABO ENGR. SODIENYE JUMBO.
It has come to the notice of the Edward Omoni Burusu/Family in the Jumbo Major House of Grand Bonny kingdom, the false and malicious statements made by one Mr. Ephraim Jumbo and his cohorts on Monday 13th April, 2026, against Wari-Alabo Engr Sodienye Jumbo, who is presently the Head of the Edward Omoni Burusu, and also the Acting Chairman of the Jumbo Major House Council of Elders.

We state unequivocally that Wari-Alabo Engr Sodienye Jumbo, was duly installed as the Head of Edward Omoni Burusu, and presented to the Chief-in-Council at Jumbo Burukiri community on Saturday, the 4th day of November, 2000, and was customarily and traditionally admitted into the Jumbo Major House Council of Elders as the Wari-Alabo/Head of the Edward Omoni Burusu of the House, all to the knowledge of the said Mr. Ephraim Jumbo and his co-travellers.
We state boldly that Wari-Alabo Engr Sodienye Jumbo who is also a titled citizen of Grand Bonny kingdom as Amaopusenibo, has unblemishedly and meritoriously served and led the Edward Omoni Burusu as its Head for about 26 years now.
We state further that contrary to the falsehoods and misrepresentations contained in the said Press Statement issued and signed by the said Mr. Ephraim Jumbo and his cohorts, including Mr. Fidelis Inyeapara Jumbo, Mr. Innocent Jumbo, Mr. George Sunju Jumbo and Mr. Simeon Henry Jumbo, who jointly signed same were all named as Defendants in Suit No: BHC/101/2016 which pended at the Bori High Court, wherein, Wari-Alabo Engr Sodienye Jumbo as the 1st Claimant, stated in his witness statement on oath that he is the Head of of the Edward Omoni Burusu, without any form of opposition or challenge by the now very disgruntled Mr. Ephraim Jumbo and his cohorts.

We therefore vehemently reject and strongly condemn the unwarranted attacks, insults and uncouth statements by the said Mr.Ephraim Jumbo and his co-travellers against Wari-Alabo Engr Sodienye Jumbo and our Edward Omoni Burusu of the Jumbo Major House.

In the light of the above, we hereby call on the members of the Jumbo Major House, the people of Grand Bonny kingdom and the general public to totally ignore the said Press Statement by Mr. Ephraim Jumbo and his cohorts as false, malicious, inordinate and handiwork of very disgruntled elements and mischief makers.
